Every school data system claims to answer the same question: who isn’t achieving? In reality, that’s the easy part, and most trackers manage it. The harder questions, the ones that actually drive improvement, are what are their specific gaps or barriers, and what are we doing about it? In my experience, schools can often answer the second question themselves, through teacher knowledge and their own systems. What no other tracker I’ve used comes close to is answering the third, because that requires everything, attainment, attendance, interventions, SEND provision, teacher notes, to sit in one connected place rather than scattered across five different systems that don’t talk to each other. Tracker+ does that. It’s the only system I’ve encountered that takes a school all the way from identifying a child to understanding why, to showing what’s actually being done about it and whether that’s working.

Across all Nova primary schools, the feedback has been nothing but positive, and consistently so. Staff describe the interface as intuitive and clear, whatever their role and whatever they’re using it for: class teachers checking progress, subject leaders spotting cohort patterns, SENCOs building and reviewing plans, headteachers preparing for governors. Training has been excellent throughout, pitched right for a genuinely wide range of stakeholders, and that matters, because a system is only as good as the confidence staff have in using it.

The AI integration is where the real shift happens in terms of how staff use a tracker. It moves staff time away from typing and calculating and towards thinking. That’s the difference between a system that produces data and one that produces insights, which is at the centre of Jonathan’s vision for Tracker+. Reports that used to take days of pulling numbers from six different places now start from a draft that’s already grounded in the school’s own data, leaving staff to add the professional judgement and context that only they can bring.

Jonathan is a genuine pleasure to work with. I have worked with him for many years in a variety of roles and he has had a real impact in supporting school improvement throughout this time.
